Lost Memories, ExitGames, Porto, πŸ‡΅πŸ‡Ή, πŸ”‘πŸ”‘πŸ”‘πŸ”‘

Ok!! This is my first review so I’ll try to make it as complete as possible without giving anything away.

It was my first escape game experience and I went there with my siblings, Florent and Justine, during a trip to Porto. My bro was the only one who played in the past, and explained us the concept of it in the subway, on the way back from the airport. Considering that I’ve always enjoyed puzzles and mystery solving games, it got my attention straight away and we decided to look up for one of them in the city. We chose the Lost Memories first, and booked it. So here we go!

Overall, the game was tricky to resolve, well made with intuitive puzzles.
The theme was immersive from the beginning, which at first disturbed us a little bit as Flo was expecting a different start, but made perfect sense as we went along. It then slightly faded away, and I ended up losing track of it by the end, but it was not a real issue as we remained entertained all the way through.

The room was high-tech, with lots of remote controls and no red-herrings which was perfect for a first game. The puzzles were all unusual and nothing like the “classic” ones I’ve encountered during the next experiences.

A lot of great ideas have been put in this game and I think this is the very reason why I got caught by the experience so fast, so thank you very much Exit Games!!

The only down side we probably found was the lack of links with the story throughout the game. Some of the puzzles were unique, but seemed detached from the original theme.

The staff was super friendly and although we failed it with 6/7 clues, and probably missing an extra 3-4 minutes in order to complete it , we had a really good time.

Instead of using stars, I’ll be using keys in order to rate the games, which I will add under the title at the beginning of each post. Just to make it clear, as my lovely wife suggested, 1πŸ”‘ meaning not great at all and 6πŸ”‘ brilliant.
